From the first cut to the finishing touches.
Chainsaw work establishes the shape. Smaller tools bring out the fur, feathers, faces, and details. Color and finishing give the piece its final character. Our album includes finished carvings, close-ups, work in progress, and pieces at their new homes so you can see more than one stage of the craft.
Can I order a carving with my own idea or family name?
Yes. Send the subject, approximate size, any lettering, and a few reference photos. We will talk through the design and prepare a quote for the agreed work.
Can a carving live outdoors?
Tell us where you plan to put it before we quote the project. We will discuss the wood, finish, placement, and care for that particular piece.
What does the Repair Your Bear guarantee include?
Every Fatbobs piece comes with one free repair when brought to our shop. All on-site repairs are subject to a charge. Email a photo of the whole piece and close-ups of the area needing attention, or call us to discuss arrangements. For on-site work, contact us about the repair and pricing before scheduling.
Do you carve standing trees?
We consider on-site carving projects. Start by sending clear photos of the whole tree or stump, its approximate dimensions, and the location so we can assess the idea.
How much does a custom carving cost?
Size, subject, detail, materials, and installation all affect the quote. Send your idea and budget so we can discuss a suitable scope. Contact the gallery about pricing and availability of finished pieces.
